I feel like those new tropes worked out really well and it didn’t bother me because the creator of Five Nights at Freddy’s (FNAF) Scott Cawthon wrote the script and storyboard. In my eyes this is masterpiece of a film.

I'd be perfectly fine if this was a PG-13 film. And honestly, it fits with more Scott's way. Just enough room for some gore but not too much. It being R while might deter some of the younger fanbase away it won't get rid of them. Parents were taking little kids to see Deadpool even when it was rated R. And from my experience, most R films usually use "Five Nights at Freddy's" did not score well with critics, however. It has a dismal 25% positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
