DTUK do some decent tuning boxs, cost you about £289, and they offer good power gains. they also have the best aftersales i have ever experienced. i have a 1.4 hdi 307, and there box pushed my car from 68hp to a tad over 90, so for the amount spent, its a pretty decent gain.

I now have a 2007 207 1.6HDI sport 90hp, after changing the egr valve and boost pressure solenoid I fitted a boost gauge, under acceleration the boost pressure fluctuates from 20 psi at full throttle to nothing (like I come off the throttle for half a second) it does this under any boost. the P0299 code was confirmed as turbo low boost by the main dealer, and also on the ethos diag tool (Snap-on handheld) I found the peugeot service box web protal and downloaded some exploded diagrams and the image sure does look like a VVT, and I thought these were fairly common on diesels nowadays.

When the engine is first started in for the day (engine cold) it makes lots of white fumes and this disappears when the engine get hotter. Turbo working fine and no lost of power in the engine.

Peugeot 407 SW (2004 - ) - 05 1.6 HDi missfire. Hi guys, I've got a 407 SW 1.6 110 HDi ad it's got what I can best descibe as a missfire. It idles ok but when you blip the throttle it misses a bit and it seems to be a little rough and missing a bit when you accelerate from rest.

Posted: Tue 03 Feb, 2009 7:50 pm. Hi, my 407 1.6 Hdi managed 83,500 on the particulate filter and cost about 500 at main dealer. Luckily this was just before I bought the car but then the DMFW went at 91000 which was most unwelcome. The only fault noted on the bill was "Hesitation whilst driving".

Si finalmente no te gusta este y sigues buscando un 407 es mejor el 2.0 HDI que el 1.6 HDI. Pero es muy difícil encontrar un HDI con tan pocos km ya que suelen ser coches a los que se les meten muchos km por su bajo consumo. Bajo consumo los huevos. 2.0hdi 136cv, encantado con el, pero 6.3 de spritmonitor.
